OpenStax bietet mit "Astronomy 2e" ein komplettes, frei zugängliches Universitätslehrbuch (CC BY), das weltweit in Einführungskursen verwendet wird. NASA stellt zahlreiche Fachbücher, technische Berichte und die berühmte "SP-Serie" als Public Domain zur Verfügung. A growing number of high-quality astronomy and astrophysics textbooks are available online under open licenses (CC BY, CC BY-SA, Public Domain). These books cover the range from introductory courses to specialized research monographs.
OpenStax offers "Astronomy 2e," a complete, freely accessible university textbook (CC BY) used in introductory courses worldwide. NASA provides numerous technical books, reports, and the famous "SP series" as public domain. Springer Open publishes monographs and edited volumes under CC BY, including titles from the "Astrophysics and Space Science Library."
On arXiv, extensive lecture notes and review articles can be found that rival textbooks in scope and quality. IntechOpen publishes thematic edited volumes under CC BY, summarizing current research on specialized topics.
